Do you like hot chocolate? Love it!
Have you ever been to Times Square to watch the ball drop? No sir.

FEBRUARY
Who was your Valentine? I'm kinda anti-Valentines. Maybe I am a cynic, but it's just silly to me to have a day a year when you show the person you love that you love them...shouldn't that be every day???
When you were little did you buy Valentine's for the whole class? Of course.
Do you care if the groundhog sees its shadow or not? Not really...winter doesn't mean much in St. George
What did you receive for valentine's day? Some candy, a movie I think, I honestly can't remember.
What did you give for Valentine's Day? Maybe some candy??

Did you play an April fool's joke on anyone this year? Oh I'm sure. Probably some stupid one though!!
Do you get tons of candy for Easter? Not tons but I get enough.
Do you celebrate 4/20? No sir. BUT, there is a school in Boulder Colorado that does, so if you are into that thing...that would be a good place for you.
Do you love the month of April? April is okay, but it's probably not my fave...

MAY
What is your favorite flower? I like a hibiscus.
Finish the phrase "April showers…" Are epic when St. George actually gets them!
Do you celebrate May 16th: National Piercing Day? No, should I??
Is May anything special to you? School is out and if I'm not taking summer classes it's fantastic!

JUNE
What year did/will you graduate from high school? 2004
Did you do anything fun during this Month? Sure sure.
Have a favorite baseball team? No, I'm not into baseball at all.

JULY
What did you do on the 4th of July? Went to Hurricane.
Did you go to the fireworks? We watched them from the house and Hurricane did a terrible job this year.

AUGUST
Did you have a sunburn? A little bit.
Did you go to the pool a lot? In my parent's back yard? Yes.

SEPTEMBER
Are you attending college/school? Yes sir.
Do you like fall better than summer? It's my favorite!!
What happened this month? I turned 22...school was BORING...my dad had a birthday...I met some new people at Rebel that were lots of fun to hang out with...i don't know. It wasn't super exciting.

OCTOBER
Whats your favorite candy? I like skittles a bit. And chocolate/carmel things.
What was your favorite thing(s)about this month? Well, Thriller was fun. I don't know!! October was kinda lameo.
What were you for Halloween? An 80s Flashdance girl.

NOVEMBER
Whose house do you go to for Thanksgiving? My parents.
What are you thankful for? My friends, familia, God & Jesus, my kitten that I got in November!!Do you love stuffing? Love it. Absolutely.
Anything exciting happen this month? I moved out of the townhome and my stuff stopped going missing! That was definately an exciting moment!!

DECEMBER
Do you celebrate Christmas? I do.
Have you ever been kissed under the mistle toe? Do people really do that?? :)
Get anything special last year? Last year....I got lots of Green Bay Packer stuff which is always nice. :) And some Boston Legal which is super!
What do you want this year? I don't really care. I got super good stuff. :) And the last season I needed of Boston Legal so now I can get my Alan Shore fix whenever I desire!!
What do you love most about December? Snow in the rare occurences that we get it and warm, yummy beverages that go with the cold.

So...2008 is almost done and I'm glad cause this year wasn't my best. I'm looking forward to 2009 and everything it has in store. I'm sure it'll be an adventure with a new president taking over in January, starting my program in college, moving (AGAIN) this weekend, and just riding the year out as it goes! As for 2008, good riddance! And RIP Boston Legal!! Good riddance 2008 and Happy New Years 2009! :)

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!!

Christmas has come early in St. George this year, cause it is snowing!!! I LOVE the snow and miss it SOOOO much after growing up in Wisconsin. It's nice that we don't get a whole lot of it, but this unusual snow storm is super!! I love it and I hope we get enough that actually sticks this time around!
It's crazy how busy life gets around the holidays. I haven't wrapped any presents yet and I still have to go buy a good amount of them. I don't know where all the time goes, but it seems to disappear!
I'm going to start volunteering for a hospice company in St. George. I wanted to do something to give back to those who don't have as much as I do. I watched a program on TLC Sunday, "The Mermaid Girl," about this little 8-year old girl who has a disease where her legs are fused together, like a mermaid. Anyway, this adorable girl has so many health problems, a low, low, low life expectancy, and the greatest outlook I have ever seen. She was the happiest person, and I couldn't help but think how this poor girl has extremely limited mobility, has already had two kidney transplants, and quite possibly the greatest personality ever. It just gave me a desire to do something useful with myself and help out those who need it. I think we should all be grateful for what we have and use what we have been given to help those who aren't as fortunate. I guess this post is just about a month late huh, it should've appeared around Thanksgiving!!

As promised...

Here are some pictures of Cullen!!

Here he is with my mom who absolutely adores him and vice-versa.

Climbing on the computer desk....
This is his sister, Aida. They aren't really brother and sister, but my roommate adopted her, so now they are a very happy family and they are SOOOOO cute together.

When I first brought him home, this was his favorite place to sleep, in the sink! He still loves it, but he's gotten more comfortable in one of my dad's old sweatshirts.

This is my favorite picture of him. He is such a little stud!

He's so much fun, even if he is a little troublemaker. He loves to follow me around when I'm getting ready and he likes to jump in the tub, even if he hasn't made sure there isn't water in it!! He's a goofy cat with so much character and I can't wait to see how he turns out as he gets older. He's about 4 1/2 months old right now and just a lot of fun!!!

Please Christmas, Don't Be Late

Well, it's December. Where in the heck did 2008 go??? Life has been INSANE the last couple weeks. Dad had surgery on his back at the beginning of November so I've been over there a lot helping out. Circumstances at my old house encouraged me to move out much sooner than planned...like one morning I packed up and moved sort of quickness. Thanksgiving was good...quiet, but good. Black Friday was CRAZY but I got some really good presents for super good prices...and season 5 of One Tree Hill for $13, so I was super happy.
Work has been SOOOOO slow. It's terrible. It makes me wish I had loads of homework, because then I'd actually be doing something productive while I'm here.
I got a kitten, Cullen. He is SOOO cute and he loves his mama so much! :) He's four months old and a little stud. I'll put some pictures of him up in my next post. My roommate got a kitten too, Aida, and the he's like her big brother protector. It's adorable. The jackass who stole my cute little puppy thought it'd be funny or something to send me a picture of him and he's huge. It's hard to even recognize him. I feel so bad that the poor little guy is stuck with that loser, I just wish there was some way to have saved him from that fate. :( Hopefully I'm a better mom for Cullen than I was for poor Capone, although being lied too isn't completly inevitable, right????
But, the past is in the past, and I'm so looking forward for 2009 to ring in. I need a change of scene, of everything. I registered at Dixie, but I'm hoping this is my last semester there. I'm not guaranteeing anything because of my track record, but I'm definately ready to move on. I've got some ideas in my head of what I want to do and I think I've decided a plan, but I'm not going to say anything until everything is said and done. I hate it when I change my mind and sound like a dumb ass!!!!
Other than that, life is just the same old stuff, different day! Boring, huh? I need some excitement soon cause St George is draining any livelyhood I have to offer. Hence why this post is so awful and dull. Sorry, I'll spare you from falling into the same, boring, dead trance I've been in the last little bit. It's not a fun place at all!!!

Youtube greatness

Ah man, gotta share some of the great youtube videos I found well BORED TO DEATH at work...

This is quite possibly the greatest music video of all time. It definately puts Grease to shame. Definately.

We found this a couple years ago when Tuachan High School did "Aida" and I love it!! These two kids are a riot, especially the one in the red sweatshirt. Love it!

Salsa Lady

This is from the Frightdome in Las Vegas at Circus Circus. It was SOOOO much fun and apparently even creepy doctors aren't all bad!!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For those of you who haven't learned yet, I'm going to clue you into a HUGE "secret" for dealing with me....never take my future plans for golden until I am in the act/moved/whatever..... It looks like I'll probably hang out in the STG to finish up school...I've decided I want to go into the medical field (again, take this decision with a grain of salt), but I REALLY am thinking respiratory therapy may be my calling in life!! So, DSC is getting a respiratory therapy program that should be starting right when my pre-req's will be finished and did I just hear an angelic chorus "AAAAAAHHHHing" all around me???? So, for everyone who was all stoked for me to move to Mil-Town (yeah, I'm sure there wasn't too much jumping up and down...mostly my grandma & aunt, I'm sure!!) I'm sorry for being such a flakey person about everything!!! But, I'm actually kinda excited at the prospect of staying here and getting everything done & just finding some super people to live with and yeah!!! :) I know I hate on Utah A TON, but it really is a gorgeous place and I have met some of the most amazing people here and I wouldn't trade my friends here for any other ones in the world!!! I am so grateful to all of them for helping me with all the things I come up with and for just being so supportive and completely rad!! I feel like things are starting to fall into place for me, so I'm hoping I'm on the right path with everything and yeah....

Fall is in full swing, and it's my favorite season and I'm absolutely loving it. I'm jealous that my parents got to take a trip down to Sedona last weekend, but they brought me up some SALSA!! They know that their girl is a chip freak!! It's funny...I used to never see myself as anything like my mom, but when we were younger, chips & salsa were her snack of choice...to the point that my dad dubbed her "Salsa Lady." He even had a song & dance to go with it. I'm surprised that title hasn't been passed down yet, but I'm happy it hasn't!!! My dad can be a tidge bit embarrassing!!!!!! We're going to go up to Kolob this weekend to see the leaves and spend some family time together. And, the Pack takes on the ONLY undefeated team in the NFL this weekend, so that should be a good matchup. That's one of my favorite things to do-watch football with my dad. He's going in for back surgery next weekend. He's had quite a few already, and this is supposed to be a less invasive technique, so it looks promising. He is definately a strong person to go through all the surgeries & pain and everything he has and still be such a good father. He's always there for his little girls, even if he has to throw a punch at a 21 year old.... :) I love my dad so much and I'm grateful for him, even though I know I haven't always shown it the best!

Oh, and as if the fall wasn't exciting enough...Halloween is 2 days away!!!!! I love Halloween to a fault. I'm going to start making treats for it tonight and I have my costume ALMOST done...I'm going to go as Dan Marino to work on Friday.........for those of you who aren't as obsessive over football as me, Marino is pretty much the only quarterback who has records over Brett Favre still (Who used to be my hero, but has recently lost that title) and it's kinda just a statement, but i'm excited to just dress up and wear sweat pants to work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ha ha. My mom & I are going to Thriller that night. She's wanted to go for years, and I've always gone with friends, but this year I asked her if she wanted to go and it should be fun!

Distance Learning....

So, today I enrolled in my first of 4 online distance education classes from Weber State. Those are the pre-req's I need to get into respiratory therapy and surprise, surprise!! Dixie doesn't offer them. I have to get my CNA certification at Dixie...and take another 8.5 credits just to be full time...sounds like I'll be taking a lot of b.s. classes (OH AND STUPID STUPID MATH) to finish up there in the spring & do these other classes. So...ask how much this class costs, go ahead...ask. $780 for one stupid class. And I have 4 of these!!!!! So, my money that comes out from Dixie in the spring is pretty much going directly to those 3 last classes...so much for financial aide money & student loans being worth anything fun! Oh, that didn't even include the books....so pretty much, if some rich, philathropist, lover of those kids who had parents who didn't make enough money for them to go to college before breaking their backs moving Pepsi products stumbles across this blog post.................you can make the check out for any amount and I will name my first child after you! Hell, I'll throw in the second one too....
On the brighter side, the presidential election is coming up soon!!! I swear, I have seen some swinging at work between grown men who are best friends!! You say Democrat or Republican here and hit the deck...because you'll be lucky to not lose an appendage in this war. I prefer to stay neutral. I have my political preferences, and I'll be voting, but I don't feel the whole world needs to argue about if I'm making the right decision or not...and that's typically not based on the canidates positions on important topics, rather his political affiliation and who is the pastor or his church or whether his vice-presidential canidate is smart enough for the job. It does make for some entertainment though, although the yelling over cubicles has gotten to be a bit of a nuisance. Personally, I think the more exciting fight is the one between....
Brett Favre & (almost) everyone else in the world!!!! Ha ha. My dad is definately a Favre fan and I'm a die hard Packer girl. He still loves the green & gold, but he's also fond of #4. I personally think he's despicable. Yeah, I know...he used to be my hero. Too bad heroes aren't honest & respectable anymore, huh??? All this talk of him personally seeking to share Packer game plans & plays is pretty lame...I thought he was good enough to handle the team he signed a lifetime contract with but couldn't handle not being the egomaniac starting quarterback, self-appointed coach, cry & moan about everything man he had been prior to retiring. Clearly I was wrong. He has to run to the Detroit Lions, of all teams---he chooses the ones who still would have so little hope of winning, and tell them "secrets." Well, gossip girl, seems like you're the one who the joke is on...losing to the Raiders in overtime. Yeah, that's something to be proud of.
Well...I've complained about school, politics, and Brett Favre. I think that's good for the day. :)

Block Classes Are Pretty Crappy...

For any of you who are expert at procrastinating and being a slacker like me, you totally appreciate the value of a college block class. You also recognize that a block class = a hell of a lot of work over 45 days. I have gotten myself into 4 block classes this fall due to poor class selection and lack of motivation or something retarded. So, today I embarked on a journey into hell. I'll let you all know how that ends up come mid-December, if I survive to tell the tale.
On another note, it's finally October which means the greatest holiday known to all the devious people out there is approaching!!!! I started out the holiday season with some "high" quality horror movies...but there really aren't many high quality horror movies these days, are there? Oh well...it also means that haunted houses are opening and Trav & I are due to hit up Vegas and get the shit scared out of us...well at least me. St. George has an AMAZING haunted house at the Red Cliffs Mall this year. Check it out if you have time, you'll love it!
And to update on the whole moving out of St. George thing...I'm pretty sure I've decided upon my future home, but I'm gonna have to hold out until May to move for student loans and the like... Mmmkay...I think that's about it and I have a stack of work and an even bigger stack of homework to do...that's how us employed college kids roll!!

Decisions, Decisions

I'm about done with my associate's degree and completely done with St. George!!!!!! I'm just ready for a change. So...I have to decide what to do and where I want to go and all that fun stuff. I'm in a lease at my apartment until the end of January, so I have time to decide, but I want to get everything figured out beforehand. I've pretty much narrowed my choices down on where to move, but I need to decide what I want to go into for school. I'm leaning towards Interior Design, but I never know for sure...
As for places to move to, I'm deciding between my hometown, Milwaukee, or Pheonix. My brother from another mother, Jared, is headed down there soon and I would LOVE to go down there too, plus I'm in love with Arizona State. On the other hand though, Milwaukee is where a lot of my family is, and my friend Amanda, and lots of people I know from when I was younger...so it's been a hard decision. UW-Milwaukee is a pretty good school, and I could try to get into UW-Madison which is a hella good school...so, I guess it all comes down to deciding between crazy heat or crazy cold to decide between Arizona or Wisconsin, right??
As for everything else right now, I've just been crazy busy with school & work. That's pretty much it. Of course, I don't think there is much else to do in St. George, so it's all good... :)

Back to School & Back in the Outlander

Well, some of you know that I had a gorgeous 2007 Ford Mustang for a few weeks...that was SOOO fun well it lasted!! :( Turns out that the salesman decided to tell the financing people that I work full time at Wheeler, which I never ever said to them---I said I'm part time, 25 hours a week. But, the idiot said I did so I got a loan and then they decided to verify the loan and WOW, I don't work that many hours so the approval wasn't going to go through which is obvious, but, long story short---I spent hours fighting with them to finally get back in my Outlander, which is actually a relief to be back in. I was afraid I'd have to get a second job and that wasn't an appetizing thought, especially with how busy I've been with just this first week of school. But, the Mustang made for some fun trips to Salt Lake & Vegas...and a nice speeding ticket-my first EVER!! I flew past 2 cops yesterday in the Outlander going 30 over and they didn't even blink their lights...maybe driving a soccer mom car does pay off???
Anyway, school has been going for a week and although I missed the first day of classes (going to bed early might pay off this semester...), it's been pretty good! I'm finally almost done with general ed. classes and I'm loving the ones for my program...hopefully it stays that way!! Except for having to read "Hamlet" this weekend...all of it...I'm looking forward to the 3-day weekend...and hoping to get in some sun before I become a slave to the library & studying... :)

End of Summer

I'm SOOOO sad that summer's pretty much over with school starting next week. It's been a crazy, random one though. I am looking forward to getting started on my bachelor's degree. I know I change my mind so often, but it seems like I might've actually found a major to stick with!! (Knock on wood....) I'm happy I got to get back in touch with old friends this summer...I've had so much fun with Trista & Stace!! My sister and I have gotten a lot closer now that we've both moved out of my parents house & I love it. She is one of the coolest kids ever & I've had a blast getting to know her again, and I'm looking forward to out first year of school together since we moved to Utah!! :) Jared wants to move back & I'm hella excited. I've missed my big bro & it'll be great to see him more often. I've also met some crazy awesome people and I've had a blast getting to know them. Things have changed a lot since this time last year, but I'm happy with where things are going. As much as I'll miss the completely carefree days of summer, I'm excited to meet more people & move forward with things this fall at school.
And to finish the summer off, we're going to Salt Lake to get our waterpark on tommorrow! Plus, there'll be a stop to see Amber & CJ Killian who are two of my favorite people and I haven't seen them in SO long. I'm super excited and I think it'll be the perfect end to a good summer. I just wish I could've gone out to Wisconsin, but time & money never worked out right. I miss everyone out there & can't wait to get out there soon!! Or you guys could just all come visit me in Utah... (wink, wink)!!!
I hope everyone else had a good summer & thanks to everyone who made mine so nice!

New Tat

So, I got a new tat the other day...I've been wanting one for SOOO long but I couldn't decide what to get...and it suddenly dawned on me and it was just perfect. So, I woke up, went to the tattoo shop and got inked. Yes, it was as random as that. The picture isn't fantastic, but it's pretty much a broken, tattered wing and my inspiration was the Martina McBride song "Broken Wing." It's one of those personal things, I guess, except for the few of you that know me really, really well. Also, my Grandma Pizzino, who passed away in December, absolutely loved angels, so it has that meaning too. But yeah...I think he did an amazing job and I am completely loving it!

4th of July and Moving

For the record, Hurricane, Utah has the crappiest display of fireworks ever known to mankind. I spent most of the 4th lounging in my parents pool and woke up to a nice red burn and a bug bite! But, it was fun...unlike the rest of the weekend, which I spent packing to move! Tonight is the night, and I absolutely HATE moving, but I'm excited for a small change of scene...even if it is only a couple miles away, it'll be such a good change. I definately am excited for it, even though it is way too much work. I went shopping for house stuff yesterday, which I haven't done in over a year, and I could not believe how much toilet paper & windex cost. I guess things cost a lot more since the Bluestone & Dixie South days??

Oh, and I need to shout out to my boy Jared who graduated from hair school last week!! Now get your self down here and do something with my hair!!!!! Love ya bro!!

Blogging

For the record, I think that blogging is super nerdy, but everyone's doing it, so I figured why not! Just kidding...it's more of a keep in touch & whatever sort of thing. Plus I just got a puppy that I want to show off to everyone, so I can brag about him and put his pictures all over! So yeah, I am a super nerd sell out.
